IT Service Desk Officer

<p>An exciting opportunity has become available with our client, an IT Consultancy based just out of the CBD. This requirement is a permanent, full-time position available for an experienced and confident IT Service Desk Officer to commence in March.</p><p></p><p>Ideally you will have a minimum of 12 months experience in a similar support role, and possess excellent communication skills and organizational / time management skills. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and be able to liaise with the user base and clientele. </p><p></p><p><b>The successful candidate will be responsible for:</b></p><ul><li>Provision of Tier 1 and 2 hardware support and problem resolution, in accordance with agreed service levels.</li><li>Accepting support requests, and recording requests in the Help Desk system.</li><li>Perform initial analysis, prioritisation and resolution of Help Desk calls, referring to Tier 2 support or third party providers as appropriate.</li><li>Provision of feedback to customer sites on the status and progress of logged calls and update the Help Desk system accordingly.</li><li>Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to IT policies and procedures.</li><li>Build new computers for the Standard Operating Environment</li><li>Install new systems when required</li><li>Provide support for hardware platforms, networks, operating systems and application software </li><li>Ability to define and analyse IT user problems accurately</li></ul><p>If you possess the relevant criteria and can start in March.. we would love to hear from you!</p><p></p><p></p>
